As a lifelong sewer I have developed a passion for making patchwork & quilts. I particularly enjoy using found materials and remnants from my own and other people's projects. The quilt pictured here measures 2,20 x 2,20 meters and was made exclusively from remnant fabrics from my stash - a so called 'stashbuster'.
More recently I have found a penchant for making memory quilts. A memory quilt is made out of used textiles - often old clothing - which are cut open, laid flat and joined together to make a blanket. Usually my goal is to make a twin size blanket - large enough for a single bed. Sometimes there are enough supplies to make a bigger quilt and sometimes there are only enough to make a bag or a pillow.
I really love helping customers solve their problems when they have come up with a creative and personal idea for a gift. That can be embroidery text onto a guest towel for the bathroom, sewing and embroidering an apron or designing an entire quilt.
